Captivate 2 does not support audio in question slides.(not sure if 3 does and I have access to 3 but it has been built in 2) So, how would you add audio for purposes of assessments? Because if we do it in regular slides the user can't click on the correct answer in the slide.

When we create the assessment, we can use real question slides so that users can select their answers and the tool will track the number of correct/incorrect responses. It just means our assessment will be all text and/or image-based without audio and given that we are testing their understanding of "voices" it will be difficult to mirror what we are trying to teach-using audio in your webinars.

Do you have any solution that you have figured out for this problem?

Yes, Captivate 3 allows users to record audio in quiz question slides, but NOT if the question is part of a 'question pool.'

One workaround is to create a SWF containing your audio clip and import it into the question slide as an animation (Insert > Animation). As far as I can tell, this works in both types of question slides.

As for controlling your audio in the imported SWF, perhaps you can add playback controls so it will behave like an embedded MP3 player. Your question should then include instructions to press 'play' to listen top the audio clip.

You could also import the audio in a video format (FLV), then choose Import > Flash Video. This has the upside of automatically including a video playback controller, and a downside of (probably) having larger file sizes.

Haven't tried either of these solutions myself, but I'm pretty sure they'll work.
